The Worst
Now think about the very last person you spoke to before you went to sleep last night. They don’t know do they? Most of the persons you interact with daily, they don’t have a clue. How differently do you think you would seen or treated? Scorned repeatedly, never called back for that job, everyone walks on the other side of the road, no one looks you in the eye?
There are a lot of people hungry for the word, hungry for acceptance, desiring a quarter pound of simple love, who get treated like this daily. Their sins are so plainly out there. Like a blinking neon sign shouting how impure and wretched they are. Maybe they are in that area you have to drive through every morning that you wish you didn’t have to pass but its the quickest way to work and, BOOM, there he is. Or she comes to your office with the same sob story that you just KNOW she’s making up. Or is it that someone held in high esteem but he’s the only one who doesn’t realize everyone knows just what he has been up to when he should be at home.
How do we approach the Zachariah in the tree off Spanish Town Rd., the woman at the well in downtown “ratchet” Miami or the Samson doing his nightly rounds on up and down Stripper Boulevard. If you have no idea how to reach these persons, its time to deeply renew your connection with the Person who knows everything you have done. Time to make good on your promise to maintain a solid relationship with Him. Realize this...it is in these places you fear to tread that God is quietly waiting to hear from you.
