Hard to Get
His mind became infected with the toxic thoughts of destruction. Erasing David took him to places of depravity and darkness no king should ever have sunk to. Probably his most malicious act was him wiping out an entire village of temple helpers and their families because he suspected them to be harboring the terrorist, David. Public enemy number one. Saul could have no closure. He could not let it go.
One of the first things we must recognize as we mature into spiritual adulthood is the ability to achieve closure from past mistakes, closure from past hurts, closure from deep emotional piercings. Sometimes what may start as s simple slight, if not properly dealt with, can multiply like a malignant cancer. Moving on and releasing past hurts is actually a supernatural work. It is a divine job. Before even forgiveness can be considered, the wound has to be closed. Only God can truly take us to that mental and spiritual place of total healing. He cannot magically take us there though. This act starts with surrender on our part. Acknowledging that the ability to achieve closure is not up to us and seeking help is necessary. After that acknowledgment, seeking God in prayer for a path out of the darkness is the next step. Everyone's path out of the valley is different. Ask Him…diligently ask Him. He will show you. All good gifts come from God. Finding a way to closure is one of them.
Which wound do you need to start closing today? How long have you being taking off the scab just as it was hardening up? It’s time to truly, Let . It . Go. Let your divine Daddy help. He has been waiting to hear from you.
